Drawtober 2026
Drawtober is a month long drawing event, where instead of a prompt per day, the month is chunked into multi-day sections so that there are 6 prompts for the entire month. This allows artists to spend more time on their art in case any of their mediums or projects span over multiple days or just to be less stress about having enough free time to take part in the challenge. This year, 2026, is the 10th anniversary for this challenge hosted by Vonnart @drawtober on instagram and will also be their final year hosting this event.
“On a personal note...while it can be sad to watch something come to an end, I would rather pull a “breaking bad” and end on a high note rather than continuing doing it out of obligation and strike while the passion and love for this challenge is still very much present. I LOVE Halloween and it’s been a joy seeing all the artists and supporters of this challenge throughout the years. I want to thank all my friends who stepped up over the years to help co-host this event as it made it that much more enjoyable. And to @joshuaavonn @rin_marks @inkwell_illustrations @sanglamart and @babswebb for stepping up one more time for 2026.
I’ve created some of my favorite drawings from this annual challenge and next year I’m sure it will feel like something’s missing around the fall season. Like a yearly fun party that will no longer exist. This was a decision I didn’t make lightly and know that I love you all wonderful artists who have joined in the Drawtober festivities and I hope it gave some extra joy in the Halloween season to you in return. Let’s send off this final year as a celebration instead of a funeral just as I drew this image! And if you’ve ever wanted to join in the past, now’s your chance and I look forward to seeing what everyone creates this fall!

The event is hosted on instagram, and by tagging @drawtober, they will be sharing 10 artists every day in a single curated post along with a daily winning artist announced in their stories. There are 31 Drawtober metal pins and a pumpkin beanie that will be given to 31 different artists in the drawtober community who really showcase their creativity/artistic abilities within each prompt!
