Splash is the mascot for the manokit species: What does that mean? This means that we encourage people to draw, write about, and create with this character. The plan is to create fun public-use digital stickers for people to use for emotes, as well as use this character for merch ideas and test runs. Over time we want to encourage the manokit community to engage with Splash, with getting the public involved with their lore and story, just the same as we had the public make their design!

Meet Splash, The Official Manokit Mascot!

Splash was created by… YOU! Over the course of almost half a year, we sent out polls and designs for the manokit community to engage with to create our mascot.

How Splash Was Made:

It started with just asking for general aesthetics ideas, physical traits, and color palettes.

Which we then narrowed down further.

From the winners, we created mood boards for the community to vote on!

From there, four test characters were created. Splash was the overwhelming winner!

From then on it was the official name and some general character background information!

And with that, Splash was finalized. Thank you all for the amazing responses and support through this project. We loved hosting it and seeing everyone’s reactions! This could not have been done without you and the amazing community everyone here fosters. We read each and every response.

“Can we use the old designs?”
- The designs that were not winners from the round 4 character design votes were reworked into new original characters and were gifted to the admin team for the manokit species as a thank you for fostering this community.
“Can we draw art of them? If so what are the rules?”
- Yes you can draw art of them! As long as the artwork follows their character design and that you do not claim ownership of said design, you are free to draw as much fanart as possible. We will kindly ask though that you do not monetize said art, don’t worry we got plans.
